Qbit reviews

Qbit Saw Blade for sheet Rock Single Gang Box works great. I can cut six-outlet boxes in a room in less than five minutes. I would highly recommend it.

Makes cutting receptacles a breeze. Always prefect size and shape.

I held off on buying due to the cost, I finally broke down and purchased one...money well spent, wish I had gotten it sooner. Works like a dream!

I am a very busy Electrical Contractor. We use these saws every day. They work flawlessly and if you use them properly they last a very long time and cut much neater, perfectly sized holes **IN DRYWALL** each and every time.

Reduces my install time. Great tool

Super easy to use, clips onto almost any oscillating tool. Give it a small rock back and forth and let the tool do the work. Give it a firm press until the blades bite into the drywall, then just let the tool do the cutting. A++ I just ordered another for my toolbox as a backup.

Installed 280 2x4 boxes in drywall in the last year on one project. Works fantastic!
If you need to do 4x4 box just make two holes side by side. Big time saver!!
Don't mess around with a drywall saw.....just get it

I install TVs and routers all the time and was sick of the sloppy drywall saw job I was doing. Yes, it was probably user error but I have been making perfect boxes with this tool. The tool has paid for itself in less than 2 jobs with the time and frustration I have saved myself. I think I might invest more in this brand's other products. I must add try not to get too close to the stud, I was fixing an ISP installers botch job where he just drilled 2 holes side by side. but he just missed the stud by a hair and I hit the stud. No big deal it just means the tool didn't cut the sheetrock all the way and I had to finish it by hand with a razor. I think I have Used this tool 7 times in less than a month. Best time saver.

Thank you.

Where have you been all my life? LOVE this device. Takes a firm hand, don't be timid, and make sure there is not a stud behind where you want to place the junction box. I put a sheet of paper, blue-taped to the baseboard, to capture all the dust. There will be dust. But the cutout chunk also is FANTASTIC to use for taking to paint store to get a perfect match if needed. Put in ziplock, and label it, store it safely for the future. I just wish I needed to make a bunch more holes in my walls...

I have used this a dozen or so times. Works well in drywall, not so much on wood. I haven't tried it on 1/8" wood paneling, but intend to try at my earliest opportunity. Makes a perfectly sized hole for the blue Carlon old work (or cut-in) boxes, but some of the other brands are slightly smaller and don't fit snugly. Maybe I'm being a little picky, but this thing creates a lot of drywall dust and because of the back and forth motion of the tool it spreads it out more than just using a keyhole saw. As I do a lot of small "add a plug over here" jobs, I try and keep my work area as clean as possible and this tool does it's best to spread the dust around. That's a minor issue and it makes perfectly sized holes and does what it is intended to do rather well.
I would recommend this to any electrician who has a multi-tool to put it on.

I was a bit weary about ordering this but I thought to myself, Ive wasted more money on worse things in the past so I decided to give it a try. They work amazing and I’ve since bought the double gang cutout as well. It’s a bit shaky to get it started so I would recommend that would just push from the get go. If you ease into it, they jump around a bit when starting but if you just dive in, they get going. At least on drywall. I have not actually used them on anything else. I mainly do remodeling and add a lot of low voltage spots like Ethernet and RG6 but have ran plenty of new switches as well. Don’t waste time with a keyhole saw anymore. This is half the time.

This tool works more than great when working on ceiling tiles!!! It also works great when cutting in drywal, but takes more time. It does only work for single gange cut outs! It does not work for any other style of cuttouts!
BUT it certainly works for any type of ceiling tile cutouts! soft, hard, fiber, all types!

This product worked great. It is much better than using a saw. It cuts clean and accurately. I used it with an "Old Work Outlet Box" that I found on Amazon and I had a new cable/phone outlet in the wall in about 15 minutes (not including running wire).

Don

Outstanding time saver! Cuts through drywall like butter, leaving a perfect hole for single gang old work box.

I usually butcher my drywall trying to make outlet cutouts as I am a mechanic not a carpenter? Once i figure out roughly where it needs to be this cuts me a hole with clean edges that may only need a little trimming adjustment for a perfect fit.
